Overview
BDEC2 Poznań is the next in the series of workshops and is scheduled for May 16-17, 2019 in Poznań, Poland at Hotel Mercure Poznan Centrum. It will be a parallel (satellite) meeting to EuroHPC Summit Week. The opening plenary sessions will be held at the EuroHPC venue and will be open to all EuroHPC participants.
Meeting Locations
Reception: May 14th, Evening
A welcome reception will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 19:00 in the Hotel Mercure’s dining room—floor “0,” to the right of the reception desk (
icon on map).
Workshop: May 15th, Early Morning (Day 1)
The Day 1 morning plenary session is co-located with EuroHPC week at the IBB Andersia Hotel (
icon on map).
Transportation to and from the IBB Andersia will be provided. Departure time is 08:00—please be in the lobby by 07:45.
Workshop: May 15th, Late Morning (Day 1)
The late morning and afternoon sessions of Day 1 will be held at Hotel Mercure ( icon on map).
Transportation back to the Mercure for the afternoon session will be provided during the mid-morning break at around 10:30.
Gala Dinner: May 15th, Evening (Day 1)
The EuroHPC/BDEC joint Gala will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 19:00 at the Młyńska 12 restaurant (
icon on map).
Workshop: May 16th, All Day (Day 2)
The BDEC workshop’s second and final day will be held at the Mercure hotel. No other locations are on the agenda for Day 2.

- cost from the airport = 30-50 PLN (7-12 EUR) depends on tariff.
- cost from train station= max. 10-15 PLN (3 EUR) it is very near.
Public transport
- Airport - Bus number: 159 or 148 (Route: Poznan Lawica Airport- Rondo Kaponiera) 25 – 30 min.
- Train station – 10 minutes of walking distance. (Route) Tramway 12 or 14, bus 159 or 168 – 6 minutes.
